Mix Your Own No Rinse Disinfectant Spray!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry it has been a while, life has sent me a few ‘curve balls’ in the last couple of months :)! I hope this post makes up for my absence.

In this video I show you how to make your own “no rinse disinfectant spray” (or sterilizing spray) for about 2% of the price of the store bought version and it works exactly the same!

I estimate this has saved my family about $50 in the last five months.

A few of the key points:

1) Either use an non see-through spray bottle or store the bottle in a dark place when not in use, it will last longer.

2) This dilution is using the ‘concentrated’ bleach. I chose to do this as I can no longer even find regular strength.

3) Make sure you let the solution sit on the surface for at least two minutes before wiping dry so chemistry can do its thing.

4) Remember no rinse is needed

Make more solution when the very faint smell of bleach can no longer be detected.

Resources:

The dilution used in the video was 1 Tsp of concentrated bleach per 24 ounces of water.

So If you want to make a Gallon of solution then 5 Tsp of concentrated would be sufficient.

PS.

It may seem at times like you have ‘done it all’ but there are many new crafts and lost skills out there for all of us! This is my mission!

Thanks a bunch for the great learning tips! Just watched a couple videos and appreciate the knowledge. It always seems like the olden ways are better than modern ways in many regards.
